Yes, yes we all think our kids are cute.  But here is your chance to earn some validation for 6×6 ft picture collage that you have dedicated to your wee one on the family room wall.  GAP, the clothing giant that we all know and love, is casting its net in hopes of finding a fresh miniature face for their massive ad campaigns.  So if your tyke really is as cute as you think they are then click on over to GAP Casting Call 2010, but hurry the contest ends October 24, 2010.

There are several ways to win.  There are four categories: Baby Girl, Baby Boy, Girl and Boy.  Five finalists are selected for each category.  From the finalists, there will be four grand prize winners selected (one for each category).  In addition to the grand prize winners, there will be one Fan Favorite.  Fan Favorite voting begins September 27, 2010 at 12:00:01 am PT and ending November 14, 2010 at 11:59:59 pm PT.  Members will be given the opportunity to go to the Website or Application to vote for their favorite Submission.

The Submission that receives the most votes will be deemed the Fan Favorite.

They don’t accept professional photos for submission, but here are a few tips to make your home photos stand out from the crowd:

• Layer on the denim: Show ’em how your child wears the latest denim looks.
• Show their adorable face: Make sure your child’s face is clearly visible in the photo.
• Give a little personality: Truly memorable photos let your child’s personality shine through.  Avoid stiff smiles and forced poses.  Try asking your kid about some of their favorite stuff and snap shots while they tell you about it.
• Watch the background: Shoot the photo against a simple background so your child really stands out.
• Try different angles: Try angling the camera or shooting from different perspectives.  Make sure to photograph kids at their eye level rather than standing over them.
• Use natural lighting: Sunlight is much more flattering than indoor lighting.  Try not to shoot with the sun behind the camera.
